My husband and I both have super anxiety visiting the dentist. The staff here is amazing and can do all the dental work we need in house. They made us feel comfortable and work with our insurance. 5 stars all the way!
I have used them for years and they never let me down. I cracked a molar over the weekend (of course!), called first thing Today (Monday) and they were able to squeeze me in on emergency within hours of them opening. I figured I’d be waiting hours, and thats fair considering it was a fit-in. I maybe waited 20 minutes until they took me back. They were able to do the work I needed same day on the same visit, I didn’t need to go back later in the day. I was there a total of about 2 hours and again I was a fit-in in their already fully booked scheduled. These ladies are wonderful.
My hygienist was very kind however, there were multiple miscommunications. I need to know that when I go in I’m being communicated money well as well as how to take care of any issues that is found well and when I asked for an extra 20 minutes that it really meant she had 20 minutes to go. There was a serious language barrier today. How is she was super nice don’t get me wrong.
I give two stars because at least the lady in the back was polite. Between the "who are you?" lady working the front desk and the two working outpatient making fun of Alabama accents (grew up there and have one) I was done. Cost without insurance was a bit pricey so I opted to wait but knew I had no desire to return. Sorry folks but you lost me before I was even seen. I know the medical field is tough but customer service isn't. Also don't make fun of others within earshot of patients.
Original appointment: Nice people. Took their time to explain everything. Got me in quickly. Lots of info and very overwhelming, though, for anyone not in the industry. I don’t have insurance so they just kept referring to me as “cash.” “Is she cash?” is something the dentist asked her assistant in front of me. No, I’m a person, a human being, a patient who plans to self-pay. Made the whole experience gross and profit-focused and contrasted the other kindnesses they showed so it’s a wash. Edited to add: Returned to the office 2/21 after a course of antibiotics and getting dental insurance. Was told repeatedly by the dentist that she doesn't know how to detect deeper issues with the teeth, that she'd have to refer me to outside professionals, that she's not "confident" with performing basic dental procedures, but she wanted me to still pay her $6,000 cash to pull a tooth and place an implant while the other, more experienced dentist in the practice is their implant specialist. The office manager was then curt, rude, dismissive, and snarky when I expressed concern and confusion with the estimate with insurance versus the one I was provided prior to having coverage. She did not address any of my concerns and treated me unprofessionally. Didn't even conclude our meeting but just walked off. Neither the administrative staff nor the dental staff seem to know what's going on. Only half of the staff are even nice. 0/10 would never recommend. Please avoid this place at all costs. I wasn't sure I wanted to even return today, and I should've trusted myself based on the last visit.
