I really hope I caught this place on an off night because I can only describe my meal as tragic. Everything tasted like the fryer needed to be changed. Wife’s blackened shrimp didn’t have a crust to speak of which means the pan wasn’t hot enough. Portion sizes would’ve been well enough if it was good food. And our server was friendly but we had no napkins or silver ware until we asked. Very disappointing experience and from the reviews on here I would’ve assumed differently. I hope for most those reviews are true. This was simply not my experience at all
Cute place, good food and attentive staff. One of our party got a migraine and the staff were really quick to pack up our food to go and get the bill paid so we could get them home. Thank you!
I don't know how to give this place enough praise! It is one of our all time favs. I would give it a 6th star if that was an option. Service is amazing, everyone there is so professional and everything about this place is just awesome. Get there early as Lucky Pelican is always busy but thats not a bad thing in our eyes. Outdoor seating is available also! No reservations which honestly we prefer. I would wait 2+ hours to eat here in all honesty. My wife doesn't even bother with looking at the menu anymore, the Sake Glazed Seabass is her all time favorite thing and this will more than likely never change. My inner child comes out a bit here because in my opinion they have the all time best fried shrimp, and sure you might be thinking, its just fried shrimp but it is so much more than that. Light crispy amazing batter, shrimp is always and I mean always just plump and juicy! Love their Fries! If you haven't eaten here please go! Don't think twice..you'll thank me.
Here are four things we loved and two things we didn't love about Lucky Pelican: Four things we loved: 1. The service was excellent! Jennifer was our waitress and she was fantastic. 2. The fish/seafood was FRESH FRESH. 3. The bread they served before the meal was really, really good! Definitely homemade. 4. My partner really enjoyed the panko crusted haddock. He would order it again. Two things we didn't love: 1. We ordered a half dozen oyster roast as an appetizer. The oysters were completely covered in parmesan cheese, to the point that we couldn't taste anything other than parmesan cheese. We won't order these again. 2. I ordered the lobster roll. It was only OKAY. It was served with coleslaw and fries. The coleslaw was room temperature, which didn't appeal to me. The fries were okay. I don't think the potatoes were fully cooked. I would not order this again. Overall, we'll come back to Lucky Pelican as the service was really great and the fish/seafood was super fresh. I wouldn't order the lobster roll again, but will try something else on the menu. HEADS UP: If you go at prime dinner time, there will be a wait. We had a party of 2 and waited for about 10-15 minutes.
I’m kind of bummed i’ve only been there twice. definitely gonna put more time in that place, their service was excellent. Food was awesome. I was happy to see somebody with a very well mannered service dog. it gets very very busy there.
