I’ve attempted to go in to order food 3x in the last 2 months. Each time it has been closed during times it’s posted to be open. Here was today’s lovely message on the door. This was at 3pm. Lol. How does this place stay in business? It’s a shame as I’ve had great experiences at other locations.
Barely any food in the quesadilla. When asked for more meat, they charged double. The picture is of the double meat (you can see how poorly the peppers were added and how few there were). There was no bacon available, and they’ve stopped serving mushrooms. More and more, the chips are burned, and since I’m not a fan of any of their salsas, I usual have to spend on overpriced queso. Seems like, this place has overstayed its welcome in the food industry.
Had lunch there today and left hungry. Usually you walk in and get a cheery "Welcome to Moe's" greeting. Not this time. Just a scowling look from the only person who appeared to be working there, clearly appearing inconvenienced by our presence. The chips were stale, the seasoned rice was too salty, and there was barely any chicken in my burrito. The man who made my burrito was so rude and clearly hates his job. He slopped my burrito together. It was a messy joke. Also, the floors were sticky and we had to clean our own table (all the tables were filthy). We certainly won't be going back again. Such a huge disappointment!
I gave up going to this Moes about six months ago. It was dirty, sloppy, and not well taken care of. It’s never a good thing to leave a restaurant feeling like you needed to take a shower. Today, 12/8/22 I decided to give this Moes one more shot. I was blown away!!! The establishment was clean, neat, and the food was beyond tasty. The new employees were phenomenal. They were extremely professional, and you could easily see the work and effort they’ve put into the quality of the food/presentation. Nate, in specific, was amazing at the front. He was very courteous and the care he showed to the food and guests was more then evident. My food has never been better! I am so happy to write this review and say, Moes on University is back in business!
Food quality and gone down drastically over the years. Prices have gone way up, unproportional to their competition. Employees always seem to hate being there. Today was the nail in the coffin when they were closed at 11:30am. Their hours online and listed on the door are 10am-10pm. No sign on the door explaining closure and after about 5 minutes of waiting outside, I peeked through the window to see the employee just shrug and gave me the no go sign. I would have given them 4ish stars pre-COVID but these days, there is no excuse to how poor this location has gotten.
