Took a night out to visit the car show and grab a bite to eat in downtown Lakewood Ranch. Pinchers is located right next to The Lakewood Ranch Cinema and Ed's Tavern on Rodeo Drive. Brought the puppy and sat outside. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating towards Dasher ๐. Started off with the new Crab Rangoon App....delicious ๐ฆ they use the same crab dip and it was really good. ๐ Then I had the grouper tacos ๐ฎ which were excellent. My co diners had the pasta and gumbo. Both very good ๐ Good time great food.
My first time there. I will definitely be coming back. I enjoy the food, the ambiance. Our server Fran was just lovely, she was very attentive and anticipated our needs before asking. She provided top notch, friendly , professional customer service. I will definitely be coming back and request to have Fran serve our table.
The service was good. There were only 4 other patrons. It took a very long time to get our drinks, which weren't very good and even longer for our food. I'm a very light eater. The portion size of fish was literally 2" x 3" for $23!
Nice surprise. We were looking for a place to eat and chose this among several options. It looked like a big chain, which wouldn't normally be our first choice, but I was in the mood for fish and it was convenient. It was a very nice surprise. Their fish options were extensive and they actually had a retail fish market in the restaurant. That's a good sign for getting fresh fish! They utilized an open kitchen concept to the dining room. I love restaurant transparency. It was clean, service was great, the food was very good and a good overall value. I recommend.
I've never had a bad experience at Pinchers, and I've eaten here at least a dozen times. I had not been here since before the pandemic though, and prices are much higher now than I last remember, as is true mostly everywhere. Only ordered appetizers and a dessert for 2 during happy hour, and the bill was about 60 bucks without any entrees. The fried key lime pie is definitely something to try at least once. It doesn't resemble a slice of pie - basically it looks like fried ice cream but has that characteristic creamy sweet and tart flavor. I came back recently and they now offer the Beyond burger, which I was so happy and excited about, and its taste and texture was very pleasing to me. I am really ecstatic that Pinchers has more plant based options available now!
