I had an unexpected trip to The Center for Urgent Care at Lakewood Ranch last evening after feeling ill. We were greeted by a pleasant lady working at the front desk and I was very quickly called back to a room. All the nurses who worked with me were extremely friendly and professional. They made sure I was comfortable and kept me well informed about everything they were doing. Luckily it was nothing serious and I will return next week for a follow up to see if I’m doing ok. I can’t recommend this urgent care center highly enough. They have extended hours and it’s much better than going to an ER. Also wanted to mention that they can do CT scans right there. Which is a great plus. Thanks again to the Center for Urgent Care at Lakewood Ranch for taking such good care of me.
I wound up at the Center for Urgent Care while visiting my mom from out of town. I had been feeling unwell for days at that point, and anxious. The entire staff here, from reception up to the doctor were so kind. I was in the sort of state where if someone had been rude, it would have just unraveled me. My nurse, Mandy, was such a comfort— I wish every nurse were like her. She called to check on my while I was waiting for radiology at the ER down the street, and also called the following day to see if I was feeling any better or had any questions. This is the place.
Emotion overcomes me as I write this review. I had a somewhat urgent medical issue, which required extensive investigation. The entire staff at The Center for Urgent Care were so caring, so professional, it's almost impossible to describe. I was given so many tests, (this center seems to do most everything, I can't imagine how many doctors and phone calls I would have had to make) and found out the results almost immediately. They worked through the process of elimination of the big things and diagnosed my problem, which was confirmed by my GI after an endoscopy. They call after each visit to check on their patients and offer to make appointments for further care. I have never ever seen medical care like this in my life and I am 72 years old. Thank you so much for all you do! I'll never forget it!
I took my wife here today. We received a friendly, professional greeting and were attended to within 10 minutes. The medical staff were extremely caring, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. We were referred to a local Emergency Room immediately due to my wife's problem. Arriving at the hospital, we were expected, as the staff at Urgent Care had already called ahead. I would like to thank them all for their support and caring. Highly recommended.
What an amazing experience. Our niece, who is a Dr., recommended CFUC for an urgent medical evaluation. The staff was caring, thorough, responsive and compassionate…and most of all extremely knowledgeable. We barely waited 5 minutes before being taken into an exam room, where we were greeted immediately…not made to wait for 20-30 minutes (as you normally do when you have a Drs appointment). They discussed potential tests in an effort to get to the bottom of the issue. Every step of the way, they were clear about the costs of each test and if we wanted to proceed, as they do not accept our insurance. I was happy to pay whatever their fees are to get my husband seen and treated on a Sunday morning without the long waits and exorbitant cost of the hospital ER. It was not expensive (in my estimation) for a long conference and evaluation with the Nurse Practitioner, an intake specialist/Nurse and numerous blood draws and other labs (with most results in 15-20 minutes)…I guarantee if we had gone to the ER the cost of these services would be 4-5 times higher. After we were given the treatment plan, the NP offered to confer with additional colleagues, if improvements didn’t occur after 24 hours….if only a visit to our primary care physician would be so thorough and time sensitive. It was a fantastic experience and I will be sharing it with everyone we know. There are probably a dozen or more Urgent Care facilities between our home and CFUC and I will never go anywhere else, if the need arises. To top it off, they called the next day to see how he was doing (much better)…Extraordinary, in this day and age and what passes for healthcare in the U.S. It felt like we were being cared for by a concierge Dr. who actually wanted to figure out what was going on and provide a diagnosis and solution. I just can’t say enough about the experience. Thank you!
